Note – In order to reach the property, there an easy walk of about 3kms from where you park your car. Alternatively, there is a longer “dirt road” route which leads directly to the property however, we recommend this route only to experienced drivers. We do not recommend this place for those senior citizens or people who have difficulty walking.

This property is an exclusive Himalayan retreat located on the banks of the river Ganga, in a quaint little village about 45 kms ahead of Rishikesh. Surrounded by lush greenery, the gushing sound of the river, and the sweet melodies of a variety of birds, this place is perfect for the nature lover in you.

There is a beach and a forest close by which is not crowded and turns out to be a great place to hang out and enjoy nature.

The staff and in-house chef will make sure that your stay is memorable.

The space:

This property is 6000 sq. ft. of dry stone construction, consisting of 03 cottages, a common dinning and kitchen area. Located in such a manner, to optimise on the views, sunlight and privacy, this Farmstay Retreat near Rishikesh is all you need to lose yourself in nature.

All the cottages are air-conditioned and have wood burners for heating with plush interiors and large glass windows that let you soak in the most awe-inspiring 180-degree view of the surrounding landscape.

Their entire garden is 100% organic, they recycle everything and nothing leaves the premises as waste. The roofs are insulated with recycled jute bags. So far they have planted close to 200 trees comprising of mainly fruit trees and most of the food is grown in their personal farm.

Making the choice of going green is easy but, executing it could be challenging and exciting.

Each cottage has a double bed and space for extra bed. The large cottage has additional couple of single beds. The entire place can house a total group size of 12 pax.

The idea was to use as little cement as possible and no RCC. They have used as much local material as possible.

All of the rooms have a wood-burner for heating and they collect dead wood to burn in our room heaters.

Other things to note:

The place is located away from all the hustle-bustle.
Services of the staff are available till 10 pm only as they have to wake up early and for farming to prepare for the day.
Being at an offbeat location, the electricity is erratic and at times one has to manage with lanterns and candles for lighting the rooms and dining. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. You will not regret it.
The kitchen has a refrigerator and a deep freeze and is equipped to cook most dishes.
