About the Property:

AB House is a tranquil retreat by the Ganga offering bespoke experiences to those in pursuit of simpler pleasures. Built as a modest family home in the 1970s with a charming garden and private ghat by the river, it has been expanded into a plush property, retrofitted with modern amenities. Their guest rooms and suites can accommodate up to 18 people.

Embracing the old rather than rejecting it, the building has been lovingly conserved, pieces of furniture refurbished, and caretakers retained and re-trained.

Slow down within their intimate set up. Sit by the private ghat and dip your toes in the river. Enjoy freshly prepared local cuisine, al fresco, in the garden. Snuggle up with a book in the cozy library.

The space:

The three-storeyed house is accessible by elevator and includes an atmospheric dining area, a library, 8 bed rooms and a lounge with board games.

Each room come with ensuite washroom and all modern amenities for absolute comfort. Four rooms offer river view while the other four offer city view.

Artistically done most beautiful rooms named after stars of ursa major constellation uplifts one spiritually. Everything about this abode needs special mention – be it terrazzo flooring or constellations created on the ceilings of rooms.

The private garden dotted with mango trees has a yoga deck and a massage room overlooking the river. The ghat with its stone platforms is ideal for a dip and for those who prefer warmer waters, a hot tub on the terrace awaits.

The focus is on keeping the menu simple and local as much as possible. This helps them explore lesser known but often healthier ingredients like millets and local vegetables that one wouldn’t find on most restaurant menus.

Food churned out by the Chef is majestically excellent. They offer a whole spread from western to typical authentic Indian food with regional cuisine and is super delicious with full of flavours.
